Incredible Rahul creates headache for selection committee with a big knock

Murli Vijay got injured before the second test against West Indies and he was replaced by KL Rahul who scored a brilliant 158 in 303 ball, Rahul grabbed the opportunity with both hands and scored his 3rd hundred in 6 test matches.

He was the first Indian opener to score a hundred on debut in West Indies. 158 by Rahul is the second-highest for India at Sabina Park after 212 by Dilip Sardesai in 1971 .

Shikhar Dawan and Murli Vijay was the first choice as an opener but now Virat Kohli and Anil Kumble will surely looking for the solution that how they can fit to Rahul.

Dhawan has been good in the last 2 Innings and Murli Vijay is consistent and dependable opener for the side that leaves Pujara in trouble. Pujara has scored only one century in his last 17 test.

Despite the Rahul’s performance Rahane also scored his 7 century.

India register 500 runs, this is highest score at Sabina Park.  Before this West Indies bowled out on just 196 runs.

Ashwin again took five-fer, he took 5 for 52 in his 16 overs. It is just his 34th Test but Ashwin already has 18 five-wicket hauls.

West Indies : 196 all-out (Blakwood 62, Ashwin 5-58)

India : 500/9 (Rahul 158, Rahane 108, Rostan Chase 5-121)
